WEDDING BEAUTY TIMELINE
If you’re a bride-to-be, the mother-of-the-bride, or a bridesmaid, you’ve likely got a few to-dos on your list before the big day. Whether it’s booking the perfect venue, helping the bride decide on the dress, or planning an unforgettable bachelorette party, every decision has a timeline to keep the wedding planning on-track. When it comes to preparing your skin, it’s hard to know when and where to start. Let the experts at Larson Medical Aesthetics help you look and feel your very best with a personalized wedding beauty regimen tailored to your skin — all you’ll need to think about is “I Do!”
12 M O N T H S: Overall Plan
A year feels like a long time to plan until you are standing at the alter and forgot to shave under your arms. Advance preparation is key to a flawless wedding day, in every way. Book an appointment with us to go over your wedding beauty goals and for a skin consultation. At this appointment, we’ll map out your overall plan and get you started on those treatments that need a series of sessions – like laser hair removal! This treatment typically requires a series of six sessions, with four to six weeks in between each (read: start early). Now is also a perfect time to think about trying injectable wrinkle reducers, like Botox or Jeuveau, and dermal fillers, like Juvederm or Bellafill, so we can time them appropriately in your 12-Month Plan.
9 M O N T H S: Skin Texture
They say good things come in three’s, especially skin treatments to improve skin texture. Whether you are concerned about acne scars, fine lines, or deep wrinkles, we recommend treatments such as laser resurfacing, microneedling, and advanced chemical peels with each treatment at least one month apart. These treatments address textural irregularities and should be completed at least three months before the big day to see the picture-perfect glow of the collagen stimulation!
6 M O N T H S: Focused Plan
Whether you are six months into your wedding beauty timeline or ready to get down to business, now is a great time to refocus and check-in with us. There’s still time to begin a treatment series of laser skin resurfacing, microneedling, and chemical peels, injectables for facial wrinkles and youthful volume, and to start the perfect at-home skin care regimen for a gorgeous complexion. Coolsculpting, a non-invasive body reshaping treatment, is very popular around this time for brides who want to treat “problem areas” that may be more visible in their wedding dress. CoolSculpting takes three months to see results of the permanent fat loss, and you will need at least two treatments one month apart.
4 M O N T H S: Sculpt & Smooth
This is the last month we recommend laser skin resurfacing and advanced chemical peels due to downtime and healing and the last month to start your CoolSculpting series. Also, if you are trying an injectable wrinkle reducer like Botox or Jeuveau for the first time, we recommend doing so four months before the big day so we know your perfect dose for your wedding treatment! This temporary treatment helps smooth the look of moderate to severe wrinkles on areas of the face, including the forehead, crow’s feet, and the elevens with each treatment lasting approximately three months. You’ll fall in love all over again.
3 M O N T H S: Fine-Tune
If we see you for the first time with three months left, we’ll recommend tried and true treatments with minimal downtime and big results – our favorites are microneedling with platelet rich plasma (PRP), dermal fillers like Juvederm and Bellafill to give natural volume and lift to the face and beautiful definition and pout to the lips, and of course, our dermaplaning and facial menu for polished exfoliation and healthy hydration.
1 M O N T H: Refresh and Relax
You are glowing and put in the work to look and feel your very best on the so-very-close wedding day! Four weeks out, we recommend getting your Botox or Jeuveau wrinkle treatment (with time for a 2-week follow-up for last minute touch-ups). One-week prior to the big day, take a break from the last-minute chaos and treat yourself to your favorite relaxing facial treatment. Whether you’re the bride-to-be, the mother-of-the-bride, or a bridesmaid, it’s best to stick to your trusted skincare regimen during the weeks leading up to the wedding so that you feel truly confident and beautiful as you exchange vows or witness them from the first row. At Larson Medical Aesthetics, we’ll be celebrating with you every step of the way – cheers!
