There are four different types of migraine pain that are classified according to the anatomical zone or migraine trigger point location:
- Temporal Migraines originate at one or both of your temples and many include a history of grinding your teeth and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) discomfort.
- Forehead Migraines originate between the eyes or above the eyebrows.
- Nasal Migraines originate behind the eyes and nose.
- Occipital Migraines originate at the back of the neck.
The initial medical visit and assessment of each of Margaret’s Medical Botox® clients are based on the precise originating classification of their migraine trigger point locations.

Migraine Relief from Botox®
Botox has been approved by the FDA for treatment of chronic migraine headaches in adults. Once classified, the specific location of a trigger point can be confirmed by Botox injections at the site. While these injections provide only temporary relief, it can significantly reduce the disability caused by the headaches*.
For people with Chronic Migraine, BOTOX ® is proven to significantly reduce headache days each month*
BOTOX ® is a prescription medicine that is injected to prevent headaches in adults with Chronic Migraine who have 15 or more days each month with headache lasting 4 or more hours each day in people 18 years or older.
It is not known whether BOTOX ® neurotoxin is safe or effective to prevent headaches in patients with migraine who have 14 or fewer headache days each month (episodic migraine).
BOTOX ® prevents up to 9 headache days a month (versus up to 7 in placebo) and is injected every 2-3 months by the healthcare provider—there is no daily treatment.*
